About
Our school age program focuses on identifying numbers, alphabet, weather, fine motor skills, coping with big emotions, compromising, teamwork, and learning new art/music materials. The day to day is more consistent as children need that to thrive. They are taught expectations and boundaries to ensure everyone’s safety in the classroom. ages 3-6 will have circle time where they learn ABCs, numbers, and book awareness through fun activities such as songs, large motor exercises, listening to stories, and more. 6 and up will read more age appropriate books and do journals during circle time to expand their writing skills aligned with school. Free play is very important in their growth to allow practice with social interactions, problem solving, and teamwork. They also do many art projects and sensory play to strengthen their fine motor skills and prepare them for school and continue to thrive in school. We believe with our program we are creating children to be well mannered, respectful, self efficient, and community driven individuals. Every teacher cherishes a child's growth. Once children turn 3 they get a certificate of being a community helper. Once a child leaves with notice or ages out they graduate and officially become a successful community leader. Graduations are held in May. At graduation, they will get their portfolios with the progress throughout our program, get handed a certificate, and will get a cap/gown. We strive to create a community of growth with not only the children, but the role models around them:)
